Drop back
into old
Fortnite.
Project Reboot brings the old seasons of Fortnite back. Host a lobby for you and your friends, or join one, with a launcher that takes care of everything. On Windows, Linux and macOS.
Everything you need,
in one app.
Install the Reboot Launcher, pick a season, and you are in a lobby in minutes. No setup guides, no fiddling with settings.
Play or host
Join a friend's lobby, or start your own and invite people. Both live in the same window.
Friends join from anywhere
The launcher opens the door on your home network for you, so people outside your house can join without you touching your router.
Switch seasons any time
Keep as many seasons installed as you like and jump between them from a dropdown.
No account needed
Pick a name and play. Nothing connects to Epic, and there is nothing to sign up for.
Free and open source
No price, no paid tiers, no ads. Everything behind it is public on GitHub for anyone to read.
Runs everywhere
Windows, Linux and macOS. Same app, same seasons, same lobbies, whatever you play on.
Three steps to a lobby.
You bring the game, the launcher does the rest.
Get the game
Pick a season in the launcher and it downloads the build from our mirror for you. Want to browse what exists or grab one by hand? The mirror has a page for that.
Install the launcher
Download it with the button above and open it. It sets everything up the first time you run it and keeps itself up to date.
Host or join
Start a lobby and share it with your friends, or join one someone else is hosting. Then jump on the bus.
Pick your season.
Most of them just work.
Every season from Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 plays great. The very first two seasons and the ones around the jump to Chapter 3 work with a few rough edges. Everything from Chapter 3 onward is there to try, but still experimental.

Every line of code behind Project Reboot is public on GitHub: the app you install, the game engine, the backend, and the matchmaker. Nothing is hidden, so anyone can read exactly what runs on their machine and contribute new features.
The launcher
The app you download. It looks after your seasons, runs your lobbies, and connects you to your friends.
Milxnor / Project-Reboot-3.0The game server
The engine that brings an old season back to life and runs the match. Made for Seasons 3 to 15, with more on the way.
Lawin0129 / LawinServerThe backend
LawinServer V1. Stands in for Epic's servers so the game can log you in, load your locker, and get you to the lobby without an account.
Lawin0129 / FortMatchmakerThe matchmaker
The Lawin matchmaker. When you press play, it is what puts you and your friends into the same match.
Before you drop.
